hello,
I use Moove’s GDPR Cookie Compliance plugin for the cookie consent banner. I *would* like to give the visitor the option to accept or reject the burst_uid cookie. I added the script you provide here https://burst-statistics.com/integrating-your-cookie-banner-with-burst-statistics/ in the plugins settings, but the cookie loads even if the user clicks “reject”.
So, I activated “cookieless tracking”, but then it seems the cookie simply doesn’t load at all.
What do you suggest? Should I simply leave it as cookieless? or, perhaps if I state in the Cookie Policy that it is a necessary cookie it would be fine?
Thank you!
*edited to add: I changed the settings back to the default setting (ie, cookie loads without consent).
The Moove plugin developers informed me that they don’t think they can block the javascript as i tred to do. However, they suggest this plugin saying that their plugin supports the following universal standard: https://projectdmc.org/plugins/wp-consent-api/
Perhaps Burst Analytics supports that too?
