(SOLVED) Button click redirect to blank page

Hello,
When I click the “add favorite” link (generated via shortcode) I am being redirected to a blank page and nothing happens.
I don’t see any error sin the Console.

Anyone has ever experienced something similar?

SOLVED:
it was a custom script I have that opens all external links in a new page.
I excluded link with simplefavorite-button class and this solved the issue.
