Thank you for your query.
It seems there are two issues.
1. To appear the download button, you need to apply the button link first (Download link).
After that you you need to apply a Button text which is available in the settings page after the “Display Download Button?” option.
This should solve the problem.
2. If the title link does not work, please go to gallery Page settings and check the option “Enable Book Details Page?” option.
This should solve the problem.

You can do both, internal or external url.
For internal file url, just upload the file with wordpress default media and cope the url from there.
After that just paste the url in the button url option.
That’s it.
