Calendly security.

[ad_1]

I’m using Calendly as a appointment booking system on my website. Thought of creating login/register for users, but the website is pretty small and doesn’t offer many for creating an account. And, of course, it’s way easier to protect the website without any registered users.

My question – is Calendly already protected by itself when embeded to the WordPress site? Or do I need any other layers of security which prevents spamming and such? What about preventing people to book few times at the same time using different credentials? Or using NSFW credentials?

I was thinking of using captcha, but once the user reaches the calendar, he or she can do anything. Any tips?

I’m all open for other options too, but I’m tight on budget and Calendly’s free plan meets my needs pretty well.

  1. Yes. With or without the plugin Calendly embeds itself in an <iframe>. They handle their own security. You shouldn’t need any additional protection. You definitely don’t need to create additional accounts for users.

Calendly also seems to provide their own spam filtering. I’ve used them for at least a year and I’ve never gotten a spam appointment.
