Can I add Google Adsense to a Personal Plan WordPress Site?

Hi! I want to continue blogging and also earn some money on the side and Google Adsense seems to be a good option for it. I have a WordPress website on a personal plan only (the cheapest plan) and I found out that I need to have a Business Plan which costs £32/ month to actually use Google Adsense on it. Has anybody tried using Google Adsense with just the Personal or Explorere plans? Thanks
