So you want to provide an install button for users to add the site to their home screen? The plugin doesn’t do this on its own, but you can implement this on top of the plugin. Refer to these articles:

yes, that’s exactly what I’m talking about.
The plugin is currently active in browsers with a warning system.
but maybe in the next updates you could do something to encourage more visitors to install PWA.
For example, users could add a shortcode in the menu area or design a download page and define a download button. The download button would also work to encourage users to install the PWA as instructed by the (presumably shortcode).
Please don’t think that I am making comparisons. Different PWA plugin developers currently offer this feature.
