I am thinking to do freelancing on making websites for others by WordPress, so will i have to buy a domain for it if i am making website for someone else? If not then how will I give him/her the access to the website and let them purchase the domain?
You can do that yes it’s up to you and the customer.
It’s just 100% easier to have the cleint buy the domain.
I will use cloudflare to buy my domains but with cleints I tell them to use namecheap.com and then add me as a user to the domain. Then I’ll set up everything for them.
Remember, it’s their business.
Yes sure, you can ask them to buy the domain .. they need to be the owner, not you
Yes you can. I’d recommend one of those 2 options:
– the client buys the domain and you/the customer sets up the DNS settings BEFORE creating the WP site
– you create the WP site with a domain you own and then you change the domain AFTERWARDS, if the client delivers his domain.
If possible, choose the first one because its less work for you but the second option is also okay.
