Can I use images from an external URL?

I’m building a real estate website for a realtor using the Houzez theme, and for reach property there could be from 5-15 images each. In total I could be looking at around 200 images and I’d assume downloading these all and hosting them locally would slow down this website dramatically.

I have direct URLs to these images from a media server (Given by a Real Estate Board) and I’ve been looking for a while for a way to add media by linking to that external URL rather than it point to an image stored on the WordPress server, tried plugins and directly changing the URL in wp\_postmeta and wp\_post but nothings worked thus far.

Help would be appreciated!
