Can we use this plugin to hide a specific element of buddypress profiles?

Hi!

Yes, you’d need to customize the template for that page. Googled about it and found this: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/creating-a-custom-profile-member-page/

And add a conditional that checks the person’s access to show or hide those fields… WP Admin > s2Member > API / Scripting > Advanced Conditionals

🙂

Thank you Cristián for such a fast response. Unfortunately I am not a developer and I do not understand the discussion in the link you mentioned on how to set up my own Buddypress template. In any case, I do not need my own template because I can add whatever profile field I want users to fill already within Buddypress eg I can add a field for age, home town, favourite colour etc etc. So, I cannot achieve the custom template in order to get the S2Member to work. I was hoping S2Member automatically links in with Buddypress some how.

But thank you for the help, I guess there may be someone who finds this helpful.

I was looking at how to help you, and rereading your first post, I realized you’re talking about profile fields specifically…

If you’re using s2Member’s custom profile fields, you can set the field to a certain level in its configuration. https://s2member.com/kb-article/how-do-i-show-different-custom-registration-fields-for-each-signup-form/
