Can wordpress see my private stuff?

[ad_1]

I’ve installed wordpress on my home server, and I access it by navigating to [192.168.0.55/wordpress](https://192.168.0.55/wordpress) from my home PC.

I’m a bit cautious about how connected to social media it seems to be. It wants me to connect my account to gravitar, and there’s share buttons on everything I post.

I want to use it a sort of personal journal, where I can muse on very intimate and personal things.

I’m just wondering exactly how private my posts are? Even if you say it’s all private, which I’m sure it is; are my posts going through wordpress servers at any point?

I didn’t want to make an online journal because I’m very concerned about the privacy of what I write, even if it’s on a private online blog.

That’s why I downloaded and hosted it on my own server. But it still has the feel of an online blog and there are some concerning things like I mentioned previously.

Hope you can help. Yes I might be a bit paranoid.
