Cannot get full-text to show for posts on a category page

[The site I am working on]) is a category that displays posts, previously theses posts showed the full text of the post instead of the excerpt but I cannot figure out how to make the full text show again.

I have tried a handful of different things to try to fix this including:

* Going to Settings>Reading and selecting “Full text” on the “For each post in a feed” option
* I have added a manual excerpt to the post itself with the full HTML of the actual post, I reverted the setting above to “Excerpt” on the “For each post in a feed” option
* I tried reverting to the previous version of the theme

But the site still displays the excerpt after trying these fixes

I will note that the only recent change that has happened on this site was bumping from WP v6.1.1 to v6.2.2, im wondering if reverting it to v6.1.1 is a possible fix? I tried this on my local version of the site and it didn’t fix the issue

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would be very appreciative to hear your thoughts, thank you!
