\[EDIT: Yes, I know I used “Favicons” term wrong – I meant “Dashicons”\]
Hello WordPress Gurus!
I’m looking for a user-friendly PLUGIN to display a grid of tiles representing all or some sub-tree of my Categories taxonomy. Bonus if it supports Custom Taxonomies (currently using [Pods Framework](https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods/)). Open to moving to a (free) Theme if absolutely necessary (currently using Blocksy, like Kadence too.).
Wish List:
* Free or low-cost (non-profit)
* User-Friendly admin panel interface is a must!
* Gutenberg native block(s) much preferred over shortcode methods.
* Support for using Font Awesome-type icons as THE image, or prominently featured along with the Taxonomy term.
* LESS interested in featuring an image from media library as Category tile’s background. (open to it, but not required)
## Background:
* I’m a volunteer at a non-profit here, redoing site as a “learning endeavor” for myself (YouTube/self-taught advanced DIY’er).
* Yes, I’ve seen “custom code” theme modification videos/HowTo docs. I prefer not to implement this way, as my successor volunteers may not be as tech-savvy or comfy as I am.
* Accessibility is critical, as our audience includes folks with literacy, ESL, cognitive, and visual impairments. hence the need for recognizable Favicon-type iconography.
* I’ve tried and didn’t like [Post Category Image with Slider](https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-category-image-with-grid-and-slider/). Concerned that it hasn’t been updated in a year, too.
* Categories already have Font Awesome icons associated with them using [Iconize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/iconize/).
* Love how [Iconize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/iconize/) icons already show up in my NavMenus. Open to alternate plugin, tho, esp. since that plugin hasn’t been updated in quite some time, either.
* Open to moving from Pods Framework to ACF (probably require Pro) if that is the prevailing recommendation.
Can anyone recommend something that fits the above, if it even exists?
