Centralising and or Integrating multiple installations

[ad_1]

So I’ve started looking at specific elements in a couple of other posts but after a few development builds despite the clear and obvious benefits of using a standard multisite and the compatibility of plugins with it – the growing cons (including performance) have pushed us towards segregating installations.

However we’ve still got a variety of elements that independent installations don’t easily have multisite implementation alternatives. So I’m looking for some generalised input from those who manage multiple installations independently, regardless of context or use case and then hopefully some more tailored input on some crucial elements

// Gamification & GamiPress //

GamiPress is the most native gamification solution for wordpress. It might be with our use cases that a third party solution is the only viable non-bespokr solution. However gamification is a critical service element and has always been set of being central across all services. We want achievements, awards and user earnings to carry across all sites/platforms. The only obvious solution that jumps to me here is allow each install to be the authoritative source for earnings on that site, with all pushing entries to one designated installation with is the authority for central earnings. Earnings on each side merged in to a total when pushed out to all other platforms in ensuring earnings are visibly totalled the same across installs. It would mean having to navigate to each specific site to view a breakdown on what was awarded and how.

// AffiliateWP //
This seems like one of the more difficult ones to come up with solutions for. Beyond ensuring individual user configs sync across all sites – records and earnings. Centrally managing these on one installation seams like an incredible feat. Maybe another third party solution would be necessary

// User Registration & BuddyBoss (premium BuddyPress fork //
This seems a little easier. Divert all user registration and authentication to an Identity Management & SSO System, linked custom fields and routine syncing.
