I found a way to change the default background color of events without a category using the php code provided in your pro forum here: https://wp-event-organiser.com/forums/topic/set-default-no-category-color-for-calendar-view/
But I can’t seem to figure out how to do something similar for the text color, so it only has an effect when the item is uncategorized, as I found that changing the default color with the code linked above seems to bypass the filter that determines which color text is more accessible based on contrast.
Update: Nevermind. After further investigation and playing around with different colors, it does seem that the contrast filter still works with the php code.
