Client website does not have a single cookie – do I still need a cookie banner?

[ad_1]

My client is really really worried about this. The website is using not a single tracker, Google font or anything else that needs to be stored in a cookie. Therefore the page has 0 cookies.

Should I make a cookie banner with the text “this page does not use any cookies” with an “OK” button just to make my client relax again?

How do you handle this?

  1. You could add a cookies-page and link to it from the footer or so. On said page you can explain that the site uses no cookies, this way you do not interfere with the regular visitors and you also have information regarding cookies available for those who wonder. And it is already in place if you should in the future leverage cookies somehow.
