Closing site with security vulnerabilities

[ad_1]

Last summer, I created a website with WordPress to sell digital products on. I used Malcare for security as it was free and seemed reputable.

I’ve since decided to focus my attention elsewhere and leave the site behind, removing all personal details from it, along with any urls from social media.

As I haven’t been managing it, I’ve been contacted by Malcare about vulnerabilities but haven’t deleted it because I wasn’t sure it was important anymore.

So, two questions:

– Should I be worried about the vulnerabilities on the site, even though my details have been removed from it and nobody else is looking at it?

– How should I approach closing it down?

Any help/advice is appreciated!

  1. Your site is probably being used to serve ads eg crypto, pharma, etc.

Back up it and delete it. Or just delete it.
