I have recently finished a boot camp over html css and js and I am trying to find some work experience, a friend told me that her company’s website needed a touch up.
I thought it be good experience so I accepted it. I didn’t know at the time it was built using word press and I just thought it was made using html.
From my research it seems like it’s not really worth it or possible to make major changes by editing the code, besides css for the themes. I know it also uses PHP which I personally havnt used much but it doesn’t seem hard.
As a young software dev trying to start a career would you recommend I spend the time to learn WordPress or is that not really a job for a software dev. Will my energy learning WordPress be better spent elsewhere?
