Unfortunately, we don’t have a video tutorial that goes though the pricing models, restrictions and rates configuration, I’m sorry. However, you can stay sure that VikBooking supports any existing pricing model (Standard, LOS, OBP etc..). We can help you with the setup by explaining how the system works.
With the free version of VikBooking you cannot set up seasonal rates, or simply vary the price for some dates of the year. You can only specify the room base rates (“listings” in your case as you said you’ve got 5 properties), any “length of stay” (LOS) factor, and the OBP offsets (Occupancy Based Pricing, like a discount for the single adult usage or a charge for 5 adults/extra guests). The complete rates management is only available with the commercial version of the plugin.
At the moment, you should define the listings base rates from the page “Rates Table” in VikBooking, after creating the rate plans (types of price) you would like to offer (i.e. “Standard Rate”, “Non Refundable Rate” etc..). You will be able to define the exact cost for any number of nights of stay in case you need to adopt the LOS Pricing Model. Otherwise, the cost per night will be proportional for any length of stay allowed. Please notice that if no costs are defined in the page “Rates Table” for the requested number of nights of stay, the listing will not be bookable.
With the commercial version of the plugin you will be able to alter the rates on any dates/seasons/week-days of the year, either by using the Pricing Calendar in the page Rates Overview, or by creating “Seasonal Rates” from the apposite page.
The restrictions, such as the minimum stay or eventually also some week-days closed to arrival or departure (CTA/CTD), are another feature that is only available in the commercial version of the plugin, because for any date of the year you can define the exact rules to apply in regards of minimum/maximum stay, CTA or CTD (i.e. some “orphan” dates can get a lower minimum stay in order to open up the bookings for certain dates that were blocked due to the minimum stay of like 3 nights).
With the free version you can set up a minimum stay at rate-plan level, by simply editing your types of price in VikBooking and by setting 3 nights as minimum stay. However, this restriction will be applied all year long because the restrictions management functions are only available in the commercial version.
Lastly, the free version also supports the OBP model. From the edit page of each room-type (listing) you will be able to define the charge or discount values for any adults occupancy.
