I have a small business and had a friend set up a WordPress blog for me back in 2009. Back then I was diligent with naming all of my images, maintaining all of my SEO, always adding key words, etc. I got away from posting on this blog and eventually went over to Square Space for hosting my website, yet I still have my old WP blog on there (my friend set it up for me), still hosted by another web hosting service. One of my goals for 2024 is to begin blogging again, However it has been ages since I have done any updates to my WordPress blog and I am fearful that if I continue to use WordPress as my blog platform, I may run into issues because I have heard from many small business friends that they have gotten away from using WordPress because it is so glitchy. I would absolutely hate to lose all of my SEO, not to mention all of my carefully crafted blogs from so many years of hard work. I guess my question is has anyone ever converted an entire WordPress blog over to a square space one without any negative impacts? If there is a way for me to just keep using WordPress along with square space I’m happy to do that but I’m also nervous because I haven’t updated it in so many years and my friend who originally set it up has gotten away from using the platform entirely. I am in no way tech savy. Any advice would be so appreciated!
