Contact Form Sending Emails to Unknown ID

[ad_1]

Hello everyone. Hope you all are doing well. I need your inputs on something. The company I work for has a website build using WordPress. It was made before I joined the company by some third party developers from Fiverr. In the contact form of the website, they seemed to have sneaked in their email ID as well and so everytime someone fills the contact form with their details, they get a copy of it too. I need to get it removed. I checked the forwarding settings of the all our emails and none of them are setup to forward anything to the developer’s emails. I’ve also checked the settings in WordPress forms and removed the developer’s emails. It’s still sending out email to them though. The site and the contact page have had other updates since then and the new changes seem to get applied immediately. But not the email. Can you please help or point me to the right direction? I’m desperate at this point😅 Thank you, everyone.

  1. Do you know what plugin is being used to create the forms and send the submissions?

  2. I figured it out. They put their email in Elementor when they build the contact form. Not sure why they added their email in WP mail settings too. Did they want to mislead us and throw us off if we ever tried to remove their email? Whatever it is, their email is gone. I just send a test email out and it seems to be working. Thank you everyone for your consideration.
