I have tried several different plug-ins just to create a simple contact form on some of our clients’ websites. I can’t get a single plug in to work (Elementor’s form, WP Forms, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, etc). I try to follow instructions as close as possible when doing a set up but no matter what I do, I can’t get the forms to go through to the client’s email address. I don’t need it to go to WordPress admin email. I am absolutely desperate and I can not figure out what is wrong. Most of our emails are Outlook-based through GoDaddy. I would be grateful for any help!

Many contact forms will refuse to send if the sending address doesn’t match the domain the website is hosted at. This is by design to avoid having contact forms impersonate another company.
You can install an SMTP plugin to set up email sending from your WordPress site which bypasses this feature usually (as long as it’s set up properly).
Are these ending up in the spam folders rather than not going through? As that is more common.
Not all hosts allow PHP email and you need to use SMTP credentials to send via an email provider.
Do you have your TXT SPF record setup?
setup email authentication via sendgrid or sparkpost – it will work then .
