Converting entirely PHP site to WordPress

Is there a tool to do this? From what I have read the best method is to simply create your new site and slowly bring things over piece by piece. Bringing over large chucks, or the whole thing, will likely cause a lot of things to break.

Is this accurate? Those who are more experienced with PHP will likely laugh at this question, but i have very little experience when it comes to working with it and didn’t know how best to phrase it

  1. Yes it is accurate, however because of its nature, WordPress has a lot of functionality and allows for a fast migration.

  2. It’s kind of like pouring a bottle of beer into a wine bottle. It may go in and even still be drinkable, but it doesn’t turn into wine.

  3. “Tools”? Just do a udemy course and learn more about WordPress would be my advice. After that you can start with theme abd plugin development.
