I've been having trouble finding any comparisons of these 2 systems that aren't written by ACSS. Is there anybody who has actually tried out both of theses systems and can offer a comparison?

Most people seem to prefer CF, since it’s more flexible. In fact you can even replicate the ACSS settings with CF.
But they’re designed for different audiences. ACSS is designed for people who want to install a plugin an then go, while CF is meant to be customized to fit whatever project you have in mind.
But you don’t really need a framework. It’s more of a thing you have to streamline your workflow in case you have a lot of projects. In which case I’d lean towards CF because I’m of the opinion that not every site should look the same.
