Critical error in WordPress – front end still ok – can not log in

[ad_1]

Hi,

I get the “critical error in WordPress” when I try to log into the website.
The frontend, however, is showing just fine.

This is not my first rodeo, so I looked at the files in wp-content, and the folder Maintenance was in there. Usually, deleting that folder, brings up the site, but not this time.

Also tried renaming the plugin folder, that usually lets me log in again, and I can enable plugins one by one to find the culprit.

However, this time, it does not work, even stranger, renaming the plugin’s folder, did not make the site look messed up. As I am using a pagebuilder Elementor, that should be the case.

To make sure I am not only seeing a cached version, I looked in multiple browsers and devices, cleared cache and looked in Private mode, the site keeps showing up and looking good.

Anyone ideas on how to get back in to the admin?

Thanks,
Annie
