cURL error 28 while loading Elementor library

[ad_1]

Hey I’m using WP, Elementor Pro, Really Simple SSL on AWS lightsail with 512 RAM.

Anyway, Elementor Pro library fails to load templates and if I go into system info of Elementor, I see error:

Not connected (cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 8797 bytes received)

I’ve done a decent amount of searching and even asking to chat GPT and I can say that

this is not a DNS issue or a RAM, as it does receive some of bytes and as it shows memory limit is set to 512M in ‘WordPress environment’.

The only thing I failed to do was to increase the timeout limit but thinking about the amount of received within 5 seconds, which is approx 8 kbytes, I doubt that would be a fix, too.

Did anyone ever face similar situation as me?

  1. The RAM that Lightsail has is for the *whole server* (i.e: OS, DB, Apache, etc), not the WP environment usage. MYSQL will chew up a big chunk of that.

WordPress + Elementor needs at least a 1GB Lightsail server – and even then, the Bitnami stacks aren’t great, and 2GB is better if you’re using heavy plugins like Elementor.
