during the years happened that I needed to backup sites in various ways.
I’ve recently decided, to create a small web interface to perform the activity faster, getting data from the site, list plugins, files, and backupping data without bash shell or ftp. The interface loads data from wodpress, but it runs sideways to not interfere too much.
The issue: ziping file and folders of small sites is easily doable, to be sure to complete the task i’ve already subdivided core / plugins / themes / uploads in different chunk.
Unfortunately, when I’m getting to heavy uploads folder, is getting though. Timeout is easy to reach, I’ve tried to exec() the script asycn but not all the server allows getting the exec() function and that seems less reiable.
How could manage this issue? anyone have any idea?
How updraft/wpclone manage that? Not all servers allowing doing the same stuff.
