Custom Post Types: When and how to use them correctly?

Hey there,
I am currently rebuilding a couple of sites with Bricks Builder and get them away from elementor.

I want to make use of Custom Post Types but I’m not sure if thats the correct way and I feel like I’m doing it wrong.

So let’s say I have a website which offers services, I create a CPT (“Services”) with one meta field named “Icon”, now I create the posts, but here I start to struggle, for the icon I want to use an SVG, but I’m not sure how to render it correctly on the frontend.

Is this even a use-case for a CPT? Because I also use CPTs for things like testimonials or pricing.
