Custom Translations Changing Unexpectedly | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

Hello Everyone at Loco Translate Plugin,

I trust this message finds you well.
Firstly I’d like to thank you for creating and constantly upgrading this plugin.
It helps us entrepreneurs in non-english speaking countries to be able to provide products and services in our local languages.

The reason I’m writing is that I have been having trouble with the custom vs system installed languages, which has made me translate our site countless times.

What’s happening is that I’ve been adding new translations to the Spanish Language on our site (System) for WooCommerce plugin. However, every now and then, whenever there’s a WooCommerce plugin update, I lose the translations made and I have to do them all over again.

So the question is, shall I install the Language (Spanish, Spain) in Custom or System version?
And what can I do so that every time there’s a WooCommerce plugin update, the translations done on Loco Translate remain untouched and I don’t have to translate hundreds of words all over again?

I’d like for the translations to remain unchanged forever so that I don’t have to do them ever again.
Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Christian
