Customizing design for password-protected page

[ad_1]

I’m currently hand-coding a portfolio site that I would like to password-protect. My initial concept involved setting a digital clock with a typeface I designed using javascript and pin codes—when you enter in the time and clock the set button, it directs you to the subpage. But this would obviously be pointless if visitors were simply able to inspect the js file and pull the pin code.

Several hundred Google searches later, it seems like WordPress is the best option to password-protect a page, but the level of customization for a password-protected page is pretty limited and sad. Is it at all possible to achieve the design I’ve provided in the included image? If not, would anyone have recommendations on what tools I could use instead?
