Good evening, everyone.
Until yesterday I was on shared hosting and everything was fine.
The operator of the VPS I moved to took care of the migration of my site to their server.
What is happening is that if I have the cache plugin active (w3c total cache) the site is constantly crashing and if I am logged in as admin I constantly get a database connection error.
Uninstalled that plugin: perfect site, fast and fluid.
Tried two other plugins and the same situation always recurs, as soon as they are installed the site crashes.
The wp-config is OK and I can connect remotely both via mysql and via python (although the cache plugin also screws up remote connections from mysql). I have a firewall plugin (Wordfence) and the firewall on the server is disabled. I checked the settings for the maximum number of connections etc of mysql and everything is in order.
How do you think I can try to approach this problem?
For the time being I remain without a cache.
Thank you.
EDIT: It’s starting to give me the same problems even without the cache plugin 🙁
