In the default WordPress install after you enter some posts, you can click on the publish date and it will take you to a list of posts published on that day. This is controlled by the “Permalinks” setting.
My permalinks is set to “Post Name”.
What I want is to be able to click the publish date, or last updated date — or any date and have it take me to an archive of the posts published that month. Similar to what LetsWP has:
(PS: This article is related to what I’m trying to do, but not the same)
When you hover over the date, it takes you to: [https://letswp.justifiedgrid.com/2018/12/](https://letswp.justifiedgrid.com/2018/12/)

How do I get that? I have searched online for “wordpress date archive link” but I keep getting false positives about generic archives instead. This is a pretty common feature to have on WordPress sites. Why is it not working on mine?

Thanks for any help!
