Hi,
I have a default category selected under settings/writing, but no matter which category I select, it is not automatically selected/checked when I go to make a new post. When I look at my categories, I see that the default category does not have a ‘bulk action’ checkbox next to it – so it appears to be correctly recognized by wordpress as the default category. However, when I go to make a new post, there are no categories selected/checked by default. If I manually check the default category (or any other category), it works fine. I just want the default category to be selected by default when I make a new post. Could anyone help me figure this out?
