Today, after updating Wordfence to the latest version, I noticed a big jump in the number of URLs shown in Wordfences most recent scan.
Yesterday, when I ran the Wordfence scan, it showed the following:
Scanned 20491 files, 15 plugins, 6 themes, 546 posts, 0 comments and 11964 URLs in 2 minutes 40 seconds.
Today, after updating Wordfence, I ran a scan and it showed the following:
Scanned 20492 files, 15 plugins, 6 themes, 546 posts, 0 comments and 12470 URLs in 3 minutes 25 seconds.
Please note that no malware flagged up in either scan, so the extra URLs appears to point towards the Wordfence plugin.
I understand that the one extra file (going from 20491 to 20492) is likely from the plugin update. But is the large URL jump (from 11964 to 12470) because of Wordfence too?
