Did wordpress 6.7 update got flagged as malware in Wordfence?

[ad_1]

Today I received an email from wordfence saying that 2426 files were modified.

Most if not all errors are like this

Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/update.php

File Type: Core

Details: This file is in a WordPress core location but is not distributed with this version of WordPress. This scan often includes files left over from a previous WordPress version, but it may also find files added by another plugin, files added by your host, or malicious files added by an attacker.

  • Most of them if not all of them are core files, I’m not going to read a log of 2426 files obviously. Did WordPress do refactoring and trigger wordfence alarms in version 6.7?
  • If that’s the case how to ignore 2426 warnings? I’m not going to go over all of them one by one
