I’m currently looking after three sites, which are all on same shared hosting server. One uses a very old version of WPBakery (before it was named that), and is about 300mb in space. The other two sites use Elementor with OceanWP and Astra. There are about 15 plugins on the WPBakery site. The Elementor sites use about 5-6 each, and each site uses around 150mb of storage.
The WPBakery site loads almost instantly, while the other two take 15-30 seconds each before anything shows up on screen. I tried cloning each site to a different hosting provider, and there they all work the same (faster). The main plugins are pretty much the same, except for WPBakery’s site, which has all kinds of outdated stuff. They all have WordFence, same caching plugins, Yaost, and Headers Security Advanced. Can’t use anything newer than PHP 7.4, because of WPBakery’s site isn’t compatible with 8. Hosting doesn’t allow me to pick 8 separately for each site.
What could be the reason for this happening? I’ve used Elementor on tons of other sites, and never had this issue happen before.
