I am creating a paid course that allows students to pay the course fee in two installments. If a student pays the first 50% but then refuses or fails to pay the remaining balance, is there a way to restrict their access to the course until they complete the payment ?

Currently, Tutor LMS does not have a built-in feature to manage installment payments and restrict access based on incomplete payments. However, you can achieve this functionality using the WooCommerce Subscriptions addon in combination with Tutor LMS Pro.
Please note that WooCommerce Subscriptions does not support percentage-based payments. Instead, it requires you to set fixed amounts for each installment. This means you’ll need to define exact values for each payment period.
Here’s how you can set it up:
- Enable WooCommerce Monetization
- Enable WooCommerce Subscriptions Addon
- Create a Subscription Product
- Link Subscription Product to Your Course

With this setup, if a student fails to complete the payment, their subscription status will be updated accordingly . Tutor LMS, integrated with WooCommerce Subscriptions, will automatically restrict access to the course based on the subscription status.
