Disabling WebP Images deleted ALL WebP images

[ad_1]

Hello @refinedigital ,

We appreciate your report! You’re absolutely right, currently all .webp images are indeed removed when the “Use WebP Images” option is switched off.

Please note that not all browsers support .webp, and if this is the default format for an image, it may not load if the user’s browser doesn’t support it. We generally recommend our clients to upload their images in standard formats, which can then be converted to .webp if necessary.

That being said, your request is certainly valid. I’ve taken the liberty to bring this matter to the attention of our development team. We will investigate potential solutions to maintain natively uploaded .webp images and prevent their removal even when the “Use WebP Images” option is deactivated.

Best regards,
Georgi Ganchev
