Generally ICS Calendar should be rendering any HTML in the description just as it appears in the feed. Have you had a look at the raw text of your .ics file to make sure the code is coming through properly in the feed? Could you send me your feed URL so I can test it? (You can email it to the address on the ICS Calendar admin page.)

I’m sorry… I think I initially misinterpreted what you were saying about how it’s rendering. There is a possibility that some code in the plugin is causing this, but it’s not supposed to. It would still be helpful to see your feed myself. But you may also want to try adding nolinks="true" to your shortcode to see if it fixes the problem.

I just edited my inital post.

Hi, I tested your feed URL with the preview tool…

…and I do see the issue there too (though, strangely, not in the Pro version’s Full view).

The reason this is happening is that the HTML is using single quotes around the URL in the link tag, rather than the more common double quotes. But the function that scrapes URLs out of the description should be handling both ways, so I’ll fix that in the next update.

In the meantime, I’ve confirmed that adding nolinks="true" to the shortcode does seem to fix the problem. (The name of that parameter is a bit confusing; it doesn’t actually remove any links from the description, it just prevents appending the event’s URL property to the details box as a link.)

The parameter is nolink (not nolinks). 😉

Ha, thanks… I’m glad you caught that. I was using the Calendar Builder in Pro when I was testing this and I got myself mixed up about the actual shortcode parameter name.
