Do licenses for paid plugins need to be renewed after migration?

[ad_1]

About a week ago a client approached me for a job. He has a website made by someone else but the other person is very unresponsive and the site has not been completely finished off yet. My client owns the domain name but the guy who made his website is hosting it. After having a look at the site I agreed.

I used the All-in-one WP migration plug-in to make a full backup of the site. After having transferred the domain name over to my hosting provider I then exported this copy I made to bring the website back up.

The issue is that he has a lot of junk on the website, so I am unsure which plug-ins are actually being used and which aren’t. When I did this transfer, were the licenses for paid plug-ins removed?

  1. Usually, licenses are activated per domain, so you should be fine. However if the old developer owns them he could probably deactivate them if he wants to.
