Does Woocommerce support order notifications?

[ad_1]

I am a bit confused by this one as different people are telling me different stories so I would ask here to people who are using it regularly.

I’ve had another developer tell me that the order notifications are the ones sent to the customer that the item has been shipped. The site owner/administrator wants to be notified when a customer has placed an order on their site. Their woocommerce installation is not doing that and I am wondering if its because the site has suffered damage from a nulled plugin that I found on it and subsequently removed and is failing to send that email or whether that is just not the way woocommerce works.

If its just the way that woocommerce works then is there a woocommerce plugin that might allow the owner/administrator to receive emails when orders are actually place and should be fulfilled?

Thanks.

  1. WooCommerce definitely supports order notifications for both the customer and admin of the website, you can change the email address this goes to within the WooCommerce settings.

My advise would be to change it to your email temporarily, create a free test product and then order it yourself to see if it works. It might be something simple like it’s sending to the wrong address, there’s a typo, etc…
