Hi. I am confused about what happened to my domain and not sure what next steps are. Please, be kind, as it has been a very challenging year in health for me.
I had a domain with g suite that I purchased through wordpress. I did not follow through to renew my domain (though it was set to auto-pay, and didn’t process) and it lapsed at the end of Feb this year. With all the serious health things going on in my life at the moment, I forgot to renew. My fault completely, I know. Now that my health is stable, I went back to catch up on things – only to find my domain was now registered through namecheap? Now makes sense why the last email I received was around that time.
I am guessing I screwed myself over here, but when you are dealing with serious medical stuff, everything else takes a backseat until you are well enough again to function. Can wordpress get this back for me or would I have to buy through namecheap? I’m not sure I am totally clear on next steps. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your only real option is to use the contact info on the domain and see what they will sell it back for. There’s always a price. Negotiate with them.
