Hi. I’m really hoping someone can help me. I’ve built a new website on WordPress.org hosted by Ionos, on the link provided. It was all ready to go so I’ve started the domain transfer. Stupidly, I updated the domain in my WordPress.org dashboard settings too soon, rookie error. Now, when I try to connect the domain or do anything in Ionos, it’s reverting to WordPress.com which is where the old site is located. I don’t need to transfer any of the old data or images as it’s a completely new site but I can’t get back into WordPress.org to change the URL back to the dummy one WordPress supplied. I’m guessing this is what I need to do to get me back on the right path?
I cannot access my WordPress.org dashboard directly as I don’t think I had a log in to do this. I always accessed it by logging into Ionos. Lesson learned. I do hope this makes some sense to someone and I’d really appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.
