What are the biggest **downsides** of WooCommerce? And how do you guys handle them?
I’ve heard people talk about storing product data in \*\_posts table, bad UI, making site slow, unnecessary features etc.

WooCommerce can take up quite a bit of resources when your shop grows, but when you scale your server as well you’ll be able to deal with it just fine. But you can’t really expect to run a large webshop on some cheap shared hosting.
I agree that WooCommerce is also less user friendly than something like Shopify but I wouldn’t call the UI bad. Just like everything with WordPress, you need to know what you’re doing. You are responsible for the performance and security of your own site. The more plugins you have, the more complicated it will be for the client to deal with the site and the harder it will be for you to keep the site stable and up-to-date.
Just like with everything with WordPress: use a high-quality theme, keep the amount of plugins to a minimum and use quality hosting.
