Hi all! First time using woocommerce and I’m genuinely quite surprised that there doesn’t seem to be an obvious way to do this with the default plugin.
The client runs a dog walking business and wants to add online payments to his site providing a simple method for his returning customers to pay for walks on a subscription (reccuring) basis, along with the ability to bill them all on a specific day every two weeks. I decided to build a “shop” page displaying all variations of possible services as the easiest solution, but the part really giving me a headache is this…
When building the individual product form, (unless I’m missing something) there doesn’t seem to be any dynamic relationship between fields. For example, I simply need customers to fill in three basic interrelated questions:
– Length of walk in minutes (three options giving three base prices)
– Number of dogs to be walked (the first dog will cost 100% of base price while 2nd, 3rd and 4th would all be at 50%)
– Number of walks per week (simply needs to take into account the current total and multiply it by whatever number they select)
I’d then like to display the total cost for the 2 weeks in advance that they’d be paying for the selected services before moving on to the checkout.
Does anyone know what the simplest solution might be? Thanks in advance
Bonus thought: Perhaps we could just get them to register a user account, add their basic details /credit card info and then invoice them accordingly as a simpler solution?
