I’m looking for advice on this approach. I built a local newspaper site using Elementor, but the front page is very heavy, and I’m looking to streamline it. We have several queries returning lists of posts with different filters. Multiple sections with relevant posts (including thumbnails). Etc.
I believe I can create a new template in my theme (Hello) folder, and apply it to this page, correct? This is where I would build the layout and call the content queries?
Other than losing the ability to update the front page layout via Elementor, are there any other downsides to this approach that I should consider?
