Hi, someone approached me for developing a basic WordPress website for e-commerce. However I am clueless about the range I can quote for development. Any advise will be helpful. Thanks in advance!
This needs more context. Do you have to do everything from wireframing and design to development by yourself? How much time do you think this will take you and what would be a hourly rate you’d be happy with? Now multiply that hourly rate by 1.5.
This could be anything from a couple hundred $ to thousands of dollars. Either way, please don’t sell yourself short and accept the lower end of that range, unless you desperately need more client experience and/or you live in a country where that equals to one month’s of salary.
It’s like asking for how much you should sell a car.
Without telling any details about the brand, mileage, condition….
So I am managing the wireframing and designing. Gonna take roughly 150-160 hrs start to finish.
I guess you really have to provide some more details (if you want to quote a fixed price). But just for the idea, I usually go for hourly (40$/hr) when the scope is too loose.
