Easy to use Template?

[ad_1]

I am having a hard time with WordPress. 20 years ago I used Dreamweaver and it was easy. WP is very confusing to me. I have Elementor Pro installed.

Are some templates easier to use than others?

I am beginning to regret my purchase, and wishing I had opted for WIX.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Instead of being mad at the tools you decided to purchase, why not take it upon yourself to learn a bit more? I can tell you now squarespace, wix, they’re just as bad, if not worse, squarespace especially but that’s a tangent I’m not going to go into here.

I also used dreameaver 20 years ago, and honestly didn’t like it, I chose to create my websites in photoshop, slice them up with the exported html file and make changes to html in notepad. iFrames were everywhere back then, you could be really creative with a website exporting it from photoshop slices, lmao.

Since you have Elementor Pro, I would suggest you to create a new wordpress page, and click the edit with Elementor button on the page and then you can use the Elementor template blocks to get you started. I would also suggest a barebones theme like Hello Elementor and to create everything yourself in Elementor, this gives you all of the power over styling, and if you’re building something not just for the present, but for the future, you will thank yourself for using a barebones theme over one that adds random css styling everywhere. Also don’t forget to make a child theme and keep all your global css edits in one place instead of spread around pages inside of the Elementor page builder.

    Enjoy.
