Well never mind, seems it wasn’t this plugins fault since I tried a different plugin (All-in-One-WP-Migration) and the results were the same.
And I only managed to fix it by turning off a few of Elementor’s experimental features.
(or maybe I was wrong about all of that and it just took a while for the changes to take effect, even though I did a hard refresh)
