Hello there.. I am Thrive Suite cust9mer and am buinding websites in Thrive Architect most of the time.
However from time to time, niche focused websites appear to be easier to build using a premium theme made with elementor. Its never the case, as I always find out but always find myself doing it again and again in hope it will just be easier regarding the design.
Elementor actually sucks I think and I am always very angry and upset when I have to work with it. Things I really hate about it:
– you cannot set hover effect on text and title elements.. really? Do I really need to write custom css for that? Wtf things like this are there and are annoying.
– basically zero consistency. Different element require to setup same thing on different place. Why? 7 ways of inserting photos. Some elements dont allow for clickable link while others do. Why? Its just you never know whether the element you need actually has the functions you need.
– 3rd party addons. The idea behind is great, however that also means you again work with something different and setting and options are different. You get the same carousel from different developer and they differ extremely by their options. Why? I never know what will stop me from doing my work.
– elementor themes dont allow certain parts of the website to be edited… wtf so why bother then with elementor if I cannot change the menu design or some other parts.
Overal, the base of elementor is easy to work with however one cannot make it with the basic version so you NEED pro and 3rd party addons and it is no longer the elementor.
I hate it and cannot believe that someone actually uses this for everything.
God bless Thrive Architect. It has flows, but certainly not as bad as this.
