End to end encryption | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

Hi @aboutm2,

While the Really Simple SSL plugin deals with SSL/TLS encryption, I am not entirely sure what prompted you to question whether the plugin affects “end-to-end encryption” in any way.

Could you provide more context about your specific use case or concern, and how this relates to the functionalities as available in Really Simple SSL? This would help me better understand your question, as it’s not immediately clear to me how the functionality of the plugin relates to end-to-end encryption.

Kind regards, Jarno

We are simply doing a security review of our site trying to identify anything that might interefer with end to end encryption.

We have also reached out to other plugin authors.

Nothing specific to the plugin we are aware, this is a straightforward question that the plugin authors are best placed to advice on.

Hello @aboutm2,

Alright, that makes sense. Rest assured, the plugin does not interfere with encryption mechanisms that are already in place on your environment.

In fact, it shouldn’t even be possible for it to do so, given that properly encrypted data cannot be easily decrypted by a third party.

Kind regards, Jarno

Thank you for you prompt reply and for clarifying this 🙂
